Football Policies
Effective August 03, 2005
- Boys and girls are eligible to
play football and shall meet the weight requirements set by the Rec. Dept.
on weigh in day, which are as follows:
- 5 -6 Year Olds - 100 pounds
maximum
- 7 - 8 Year Olds – 120 pounds
maximum
- 9 – 10 Year Olds – 140
pounds maximum
- 11 – 12 Year Olds – no limit
- If a child is over the weight
limit for his/her group, they must move up to the appropriate team for
their weight.
- All registration fees must be
paid in full prior to your child being placed on a team.
- All children will be placed on
the team determined by his/her age or weight.
- If more than 38 children are
signed up for a team, the team may be split up and a second team formed.
This will be determined by the Board of Directors based on a
recommendation from the Football Coordinator and input from the coach(es).
- A draft will take place if
more than one team if formed in any age group.
- All children shall play in, at
a minimum, 1 quarter in every game.
- All children must attend
practice to be eligible to play in the games.
- All children must wear the
uniform distributed by the Booster Club.
- Uniforms will be issued based
on the information taken from the registration form. Any uniform that
does not fit will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian to purchase
another uniform that is the appropriate size.
- There will be no modifications
to the uniforms without prior approval of the Board of Directors.
- All head coaches and assistant
coaches will be required to fill out and sign the Coaching Commitment Form
and the Coaching Rules and Guidelines form and return it to the Board of
Directors prior to the registration deadline. If more than one coach is
interested in coaching a team(s), the Board of Directors will select the
head coach(es) based on their experience level documented on the Coaching
Commitment Form.
- Coaches will be responsible
for the conduct of the parents and spectators before, during and after
their game.
