Coaching Policies and Procedures

Effective August 03, 2005 

1.                  All Coaching Commitment Forms will be handled by the Coaching Commitment Form Coordinator.

2.                  All Coaching Commitment Forms for head coach and assistant coach need to be turned in prior  to the draft for each sport season.

3.                  Each form must be completely filled out with a list of all qualifications required for that particular sport.

4.                  Each form must be signed and dated for every sport.

5.                  Head coach will be required to have all his assistant coaches complete a form prior to the draft.

6.                  Drafts will be conducted by the Coordinator for that particular sport.

7.                  Each coach will be required to understand all requirements stated on the back of the form.

8.                  Each coach will be required to follow the rules and guidelines for coaching to the fullest.

9.                  Once your form is turned into the Coaching Commitment Form Coordinator each sports coordinator will be given a copy of your form for coach's selection. (Rules for coaching selection will be followed at that time.)

10.              Coaching selection will be done by each Sport Coordinator.  If there is more than one coach volunteering for a particular age group, the Board of Director will vote on the coach at that time.

11.       All Coaches must practice their teams at the fields designated by the Destrehan Booster Club.  No exceptions.
