| The Destrehan Booster Club for Sports and Recreation, Inc. fields approximately 45 baseball and softball teams each season, involving more than 450 Destrehan area children. | ||
| Registration for baseball and softball begins in late January and cost $45. Cut-off dates for age groups is January 1st for softball and April 30th for baseball (age attained as of this date). Dates and sites of the next registration will be announced at a later date. Following the registration process, team drafts are conducted. Practice begins ~April 1st and the regular season game schedule starts ~May 1st. | ||
| The Booster Club sponsors its annual pre-season Destrehan Jamboree in April at the Ormond, Eastbank and Westbank Bridge Park fields. The season concludes with a post-season parish tournament except for the T-ball division, which plays additional games in lieu of a tournament. | ||
| Prior to the season, the Booster Club sponsors children and coaches clinics. Dates and sites for clinics will be announced at a later date. | ||

| The Booster Club is again seeking sponsors for its baseball/softball teams. Sponsor fees are $250.00 per team. The company name will appear on the back of the team jersey and each sponsor will receive a team plaque at the end of the season along with being listed as a sponsor on our website for one year. | There are separate parish/recreation (National) and franchise/competitive (American) divisions for baseball in St. Charles Parish. The franchise/competitive (American) division is for the more serious and competitive player. The St. Charles Parish Recreation Department conducts evaluations of players interested in playing the franchise/competitive (American) division. | ||
